TMHP52 Hydro-mechanical Power Transmissions, 6 ECTS-points
/Hydraulmekaniska transmissioner/

Advancement level:
D

Aim:
The purpose of the course is to provide broad, in-depth knowledge within the field of hydromechanical power transmissions. It provides the basis for both dimensioning and designing systems, as well as for analysing and construction of components. The approach treats both the mobile and the industrial sectors. Considerable time is devoted to dynamic considerations. Modern analysis tools in the form of simulation programs are used. Computer-based measurement and control are studied.

Prerequisites:
TMHP 20 Fluid power systems TSRT 15 Automatic Control M.

Course organization:
Teaching is in the form of lectures, classes and laboratory exercises.

Course content:
Hydraulic machines: Design of different types of pumps and motors. Design of sealing surfaces and pressure balancing. Analyses of losses and efficiency models. Control actuators for variable-displacement mahcines. Dynamic properties of hydraulic machines. Systems: Mobiles and industrial applications. Completely hydraulic and hydro-mechanical divided types of transmissions - principles of automatic control and dynamic characteristics. Servo systems for control of shaft speed and torque. Simulation of transmission drive systems.
