Aim:
The course aims at affording - a sound knowledge of ethical theories and principles, - a sound knowledge of ethical problems in connection with technical development and application, for example within the areas of genetecnology and computer science, - proficiency in the application of ethical analytical methods for ethical problems, - reflections on the ethical responsibilities of technicians.

Prerequisites:
Requisite general qualifications for university.

Course organization:
The course consists of lectures and seminars, intended, among other things, for the accounting of completed tasks.

- To work with ethical problems: questions of methodology, decision - theory - Normative ethical theories and principles - Technical development and moral responsibility - Ethical criteria in choice of technology - The professional ethics of engineers.
