Aim: To give mechanical engineering students an overview of sensors, measurements systems and associated problems that might show up in an industrial environment.Prerequisites: Former courses in physics, electronics, mechanics and programming.Supplementary courses: TFMÄ 14 Industrial measurementsCourse organization: Lectures and experimental work.Course content: Analogue versus digital measurements. Principles for sensors of measuring quantities of industrial interest: temperature, flow, pressure, level, motion, force, torque, strain,... Amplifiers and handling of signals from sensors.
