Aim:
The course covers the theory of chemical reactors as applicable to industrial processes. Emphasis is placed on design calculations. An important component of the course is the laboratory work, which reinforces the lecture material as well as requiring planning, researching and technical communication skills.

Prerequisites:
TAIU10 Calculus, B.SC. course, TAIUxx Algebra, TFKI 77 Physical Chemistry

Course organization:
Lectures, tutorials and laboratory work

Course content:
Material and energy balances, reaction kinetics, ideal reactors, complex reactions, industrial reactor examples. Modelling with Matlab. Project laboratory involving literature study, research planning and report writing.
