Aim: The course describes the physical phenomena and principles which are used in the design of semiconductor devices. The participants of the course obtain a basic understanding of discrete devices as well as integrated circuits.Supplementary courses: TFFY 96 Solid State Electronics.Course content: Basic semiconductor physics. Operation and limitation of pn-junctions, optoelectronic devices, bipolar transistors, field-effect transistors, and integrated circuits.
