Aim:
The aim of this course is to provide knowledge about the Fourier transform and its relation to the Laplace and Z-transform, thereby giving sufficient mathematical background for future studies within the area of biomedical signal processing.

Prerequisites:
TSDT 71 Circuit Theory

Course content:
The Fourier, Laplace and z-transform. Stocastic and deterministic signals. The discrete Fourier transform. Convolution. Sampling, A/D convertion. Power spectrum estimation, the autocorrelation function. Data windows, aliasing, leakage.
