Aim: The course deals with ordinary differential equations and their applications, and is intended to give a somewhat detailed introduction to the theory. Prerequisites: A course in calculus.Course organization: Teaching is done in lectures and problem classes.Course content: Picard's existence theorem. Second order linear differential equations with variable coefficients (boundary-value problems are treated with the Green function). Power-series solutions. Frobenius method for weakly singular differential equations. Sturm's comparison theorems. Systems of linear differential equations, fundamental systems of solutions.
