Aim:
After completion of courses Botany 1 and Botany 2 the student have acquired an over all view of structure and function in plants by studies of the structure, systematics, plant evolution and physiology of plants. The courses deal with the classical botanical disciplines.

Botany 1 or equivalent

Organisation:
Lectures, excursions and laboratory work.

Course contents:
This course includes a survey of the most important groups of algae and the Kingdom Fungi. Photosynthesis, growth and development are dealt with. This course includes applied botany in fields such as agriculture, forestry, and gardening.
