Aim:
The aim of this course i to provide knowledge about modern printing technologies focused towards offset printing, digital printing methods, prepress and color management. After finishing the course the student shall:
- Be able to explain the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of different printing technologies.
- Be able to evaluate different tryckmetoders properties for a given production.
- Be able to select appropriate reproduction settings depending on the printing method.
- Understand the components of a color managed workflow.
- Be able to utilize, create, and evaluate ICC profiles.
- Be able to account for different impositioning methods.
- Be able to create and verify quality assured print originals.
