Aim:
After the course the participants will be able to:
  • account for different types of airports and their components
  • make a strategic airport plan
  • make an airport master plan
  • make an airport system plan
  • account for and use applicable forecasting methods
  • consider environmental concerns when planning Airports


    Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
    Basic knowledge in air traffic, economy, logistics and optimization

    Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

    Organisation:
    The course consists of lectures and seminars. The lectures give the theoretical background. During the seminars, assignments and case studies are discussed. A study visit is performed.
