Aim:
After completing the course the student should be able to plan, solve and evaluate measuring tasks in construction. This means that the student can:
- Describe and apply common geodetic reference systems and geodetic concepts.
- Calibrate and use common geodetic instruments.
- Use the common methods for setting out and surveying.
- Check and evaluate the correctness of the measurements.
- Plan, solve and evaluate common measuring tasks.

Organisation:
The teaching consists of lectures and a small project.
|
|
Course contents:
Geodetic systems and classes. Principles and handling of geodetic instruments for distance measurements, levelling and angle measurements. Methods for mapping and setting out points. Accuracy and precision of measurements. A project including mapping of an area and setting out of buildings.
