Aim:
The course aims to provide fundamental knowledge and understanding of digital image acquisition, image editing, digital image technology and work procedures. On conclusion, the students shall :
- Have knowledge about fundamental principles for digital image aquisition.
- Have knowledge about basic techniques and methods in digital image editing
- Have knowledge about technical requirements regarding the publishing of digital images.
- Have ability to apply several techniques and methods for digital image production.
- Have ability to assess the need for and effects of digital image editing.

Organisation:
Lectures, studio work and hand-in assignments.

Course contents:
- Technology and platform requirements for digital image publishing.
- Techniques, tools and procedures for digital image editing.
- Digital photography.
- The practise of image manipulation i current visual media.
- The purpose and practise of image manipulation in a historic perspective,
- Image creation using pixel an object graphics.
- Practical work with exercises and production of edited digital images.
