Aim:
To give advanced knowledge about how to simulate and analyze fluid dynamical problems. After the course the student should be able to
- Create simulation models of flow problems. Describe how the real case was simplified, and which consequences this implied.
- Apply the finite volume method to discretize the governing equations.
- Implement solvers (computer programs) for numerical simulation of two-dimensional flow problems.
- Implement different numerical algorithms.
- Analyse, assess, and evaluate simulation result.
- Use and apply commercial software to study flow problems.
