Aim:
The course as a whole is intended to apply and expand engineering issues and working in energy technology.
After the introductory part of the course the student should be able to:
- describe the main concepts and working methods of scientific work
- describe the application of qualitative and quantitative methods
- search and critically evaluate scientific papers and other information sources
- evaluate the context in which the mechanical issue is studied
Furthermore a major task which is based on a model for project work. Through this project, participants will gain insight industrialized and experience of a relevant area of �?<�?After completing the course students will also be able to:
- measuring, analyzing and evaluator, or in respect of construction develop any energy technology equipment or smaller facility
- explain the use of the techniques and tools that have contributed to various types of technology for energy conversion
- formulate a project based on a given specification, and continual updating and work against this
- seek out and acquire the project relevant knowledge from scientific papers and other information sources
- writing and orally explain the advantages and describe the project
- actively participate and take individual responsibility in a working project

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics , Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer

Organisation:
Mainly individual project work, as well as project meetings with the supervisor. Depending on project, the work may include business contacts and visits to companies.
|

Course contents:
Technical content depending on the project. The writing of a project plan, schedule and meeting minutes. Information retrieval. Documentation of project results. Oral and written presentation of project results.
