Aim:
The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge in advanced planning and scheduling for different types of manufacturing operations. After taking this course, the student should be able to formulate and manage complex planning and control problems at different hierarchical levels, and be knowledgeable about the design and application of systems for advanced planning and scheduling on the short as well as the long term in manufacturing and supply chains.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Production Economics, Production Logistics, Operations Research

Organisation:
The lectures deal with the theoretical issues and the seminars deal with exercises.

Course contents:
Supply Chain planning: Modelling and systems.

Hierarchical Production Plannning: Aggregation and disaggregation. Hierarchically linked planning and control. Applications.

Intergrated Planning and Scheduling:: Advanced cyclic scheduling. Sequencing in complex systems.

Queueing Theory: : Modelling and applications.

Advamced Inventory Control: Modelling and systems.

RemanufacturingR: Modelling and applications.
