Aim:
The course will give students a complement and deepen the course Electrical System and CAD, so that the corresponding theory in the current regulatory requirements for general authorisation for all electrical installation work is achieved.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)

Organisation:
The course consists of lectures and project work. The work in the course will be adapted to each program's previous courses in terms of courses covering theory requirements for general authorisation for electrical installations.

Course contents:
Completion and deepening within the following areas:
  • Electrical Systems: The global energy situation and environmental consequences of energy production and consumption. Electricity generation, transmission and consumption in Sweden are in technical, economic, social and environmental technical perspective.
  • Power Systems: Projects for electrical installations in the areas of power and lighting and electrical schematic. Local power plants and electrical environment. Control and monitoring system for electrical distribution. Methods of operation and maintenance of power generation technology facilities.
  • Electrical machinery / Electrical drive system: Structure and function of the main electrical machinery and electrical drives as well as norms and standards within the field of electrical machines. Application of modern power electronics in the electric power field.
  • Legislative Knowledge-electrical installations: Existing laws and regulations of Sweden and other countries of the generation, electrical installation, power consumption and maintenance. Regulation of competence for electrical installation work. Occupational safety construction and fire protection regulations applicable in the field of electricity.
  • Environmental and safety knowledge: Energy generation and distribution environmental consequences. Ecological connection. Legislation and recommendations in the environment and work environment.
  • Technology: Mechanics (statics and dynamics), basic solid mechanics and materials science.
