Aim:
The aim of this course is to give knowledge about the steps in a manufacturing process and a deepened knowledge about implementations in the mechanical industry, such as computer controlled manufacturing- and handling-equipment and the condition for utilization of this equipment. The course will also give basic knowledge about computer aided process planning.

Organisation:
Teaching in form of lectures, lessons, grouplessons and laborations. A project is also included in the course and is solved by groups.

Course contents:
Manufacturing process. CAD/CAM. Monitoring systems for machine tool; construction and use. Standards of computer controlled systems. Datacommunication. Industrial robots. Computer aided process planning.
