Aim:
The course intends to consolidate knowledge within Industrial Engineering and Management through application on a current external project. After the course the student shall be able to:
- Master identification, choice and application of theory and knowledge areas based on a context-specific problem
- Master research methodology
- Chose and use research tools in a real-life problem
- Master communication of the results from the project both oral and in writing.
- Perform critical evaluation of both their own as well as others students work
- Perform a project plan
- Show experience from group organized project work

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
The course is an advanced course within the "Management" masterprofile

Organisation:
The teaching takes place as a tutored project work, carried out in groups
|
|
Course contents:
The course content is a current project of suitable size that is taken from external organization. The project is carried out by the students in cooperation with the job initiator. At the end of the project there is a written report as well as an oral presentation, both at the university and at the job initiator.
