  Area of Education: Science

Main field of studies: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics

  Advancement level (G1, G2, A): G1

Aim:
That the student will achieve good knowledge and proficiency in handling different transforms that are common in applications such as circuit theory, control theory, and physics, i.e., to be able to
  • determine which transform is suitable in different situations
  • change between time and frequency description of signals, differential equations, and difference equations
  • solve linear differential and difference equations by using transform methods
  • calculate the energy/effect content of a signal

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
    Calculus and Linear Algebra

Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

    Organisation:
Teaching is done in lectures and problem classes.
