Aim:
That the student will achieve good knowledge and proficiency in handling
different transforms that are common in applications such as circuit
theory, control theory, and physics, i.e., to be able to
- determine which transform is suitable in different situations
- change between time and frequency description of signals, differential
equations, and difference equations
- solve linear differential and difference equations by using transform methods
- calculate the energy/effect content of a signal

Teaching is done in lectures and problem classes.

Course contents:
Series and generalised integrals. Power series. Fourier series in complex and trigonometric forms. Amplitude and phase spectrum. Parseval's formula. Fourier transform. Pulse and step functions. Plancherel's formula. Laplace transform. Systems of differential equations. One-sided z-transform. Difference equations.Convolution
