| Organisation: This course provides knowledge on philosophies, principles, methods and tools for lean production. The teaching will be performed in form of lectures, seminars, labs and related exercises and group work. The course contents are strongly connected to industrial operations, and some course content is treated through site visits where Lean methods and techniques can be trained. |

| Course contents: 5 basic principles of Lean production, waste according Lean philosophy, value stream mapping, Lean-game, 5S, visual management, Pull system, Heijunka, SMED, Poka Yoke, standardized work and improvement strategies (i.e. Kaizen) |
