Aim:
The student shall, after finishing the course, be able to:
  • Formulate and analyse basic traffic flow relations
  • Formulate and use models for simulation of traffic flows
  • Describe the basic notation, theory and models for analysis of capacity at intersections
  • Describe signal setting strategies for isolated and interconnected intersections
  • Make computations of capacities for isolated signalized intersections


Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Planning and simulation of traffic systems
