To use and understand the control techniques (including sequence control) that exists in computer controlled systems.

Course contents:
Sequence control: Functional diagram, relay systems, logical modules, PLC-languages. PID-control: Tuning, digital implementation, wind-up, auto-tuning. Computer based control systems: Approximation of continuous time controllers, digital control theory, sampling, model predictive control. Fuzzy control. Control system structures: feed-forward, parallel coupling, and nonlinear coupling of standard controllers.
