| Aim: The course should give an introduction to technical energy systems, as well as practical example within national, regional and industrial energy systems, and buildings as energy systems. After finishing the course the students should know

| Course contents: Energy supply, distribution and use. Fundamental concepts and definitions. Fossil fuels and renewables from and energy system point of view. Thermal power and combined heat and power (CHP). Duration. European electricity network. District heating networks. Energy use in industries, and buildings Energy surveys. Energy efficiency measures, fuel change and load management. Resource minimization by using international externalities. |
