To give understanding of digital signal processor (DSP) architecture and methods of programming. Show the close relation between theory, algorithms and implementation in hardware/software. After completing this course, students should be able to:
  • describe the architecture of an DSP and explain the most relevant features
  • explain the close relationship between the DSP and signalprocessing theory
  • evalute one software platform (CCS) and MATLAB
  • apply the theory for a practical signalprocessing project

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Signals ans Systems, Programming in C/C++, Microcomputers

Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.
