Aim:
To give the student familiarity with several variable calculus such as is used in technical subjects.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Calculus, one variable and Linear Algebra.

Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
Lectures and lessons.

Course contents:
Several variable calculus: Functions of several variables. Partial derivatives, chain rule and error propagation. Taylors formula and local extrema. Largest and least values. Optimisation with constraints. Double and triple integrals. Change of variables in multiple integrals.
