Aim:
The student shall gain an understanding of the impact on the environment from large technical systems, such as transport, energy, and water handling systems. A holistic view of the environmental issues is applied as both resource and pollution problems are included. Further, the student shall be accustomed to ways of decreasing environmental impact by means of technical solutions. In particular, preventive measures are emphasized as well as changes in the technical systems for a development in a direction towards sustainability.
