Aim:
The theme of this course is the role of information technology (IT) in business and society from a management perspective. The course will cover basic concepts, technical development (hardware, software, database management systems, telecommuncations, networks), basic components of information systems, information planning, conceptual modeling, systems engineering, types of information systems and applications.
