Aim:
The course is a follow-up of the course TSEK05/TSEK01 VLSI Design, and will give practical knowledge of evaluation of VLSI designs.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
To have a chip to evaluate the student must have attended TSEK05/TSEK01 VLSI Design, and sent a chip for fabrication.
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
Introductory lecture and 8 hours laboratory exercises. The course concentrates on testing and debugging of the integrated circuit, which the student designed in the course TSEK05/TSEK01 VLSI Design. During the second lecture the students give a short presentation of their results. The final report should be handed-in to the supervisor.

Course contents:
Test and measurement issues. Fault diagnosis. Evaluation of chip performance.
