Aim:
AAfter the course the students will:
have an understanding of project work in operations management
have a deeper understanding of the specialisation area.
be able to carry out projects in the area of operations management
be able to find relevant literature for a particular project area
be able to write a scientific report.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
For projects in Finance: Corporate Finance alt. Financial Markets and Instruments, Financial Valuation Methodology alt. Financial Risk Management
For projects in Production Management: Operations Strategy, Manufacturing Planning and Control alt. Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Analysing and Improving Manufacturing Operations

Organisation:
The course consists of a project work for groups of about 3 students. The course is organised as a project with supervision and seminars.
The course runs over the entire autumn semester.

Course contents:
Project work. The project area is selected in collaboration with the course teachers, but can be carried out in the sub-areas production management and finance. Knowledge and competences from previous courses are applied and new knowledge is introduced according to the needs of each respective project. The report can be written in English or Swedish.
