| Aim: The aim of this course is to introduce constructs and mechanisms in a programming language. The course focuses on problem solving and practical programming aspects. Upon completion of this course the student should be able to:

| Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered) Introductory course in programming Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding. |

| Organisation: The course consist of a set of explaining lectures, but much self-studies are expected. A number of scheduled and supervised laboratory exercises carried out in pairs will give programming experience. |
