Aim:
The aim of this course is to introduce constructs and mechanisms in a programming language. The course focuses on problem solving and practical programming aspects. Upon completion of this course the student should be able to:
- Implement solutions to various problems.
- Use basic programming environment and tools.
- Explain language constructs and their semantics.

Organisation:
The course consist of a set of explaining lectures, but much self-studies are expected. A number of scheduled and supervised laboratory exercises carried out in pairs will give programming experience.
