Aim:
The aim of the course is to analyze the roll of information technology in the health care sector where current keywords are care chains, structured documentation, accessibility, quality assurance and efficiency. It presents basic knowledge of medical informatics and the structure and functioning of medical information systems. A goal is also to improve the participants' information literacy.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
TBME50 Biomedical Engineering or TBME02 Anatomy and Physiology
