Aim:
Integrated project aiming at developing the students ability to apply knowledge achieved in earlier materials/solid mechanics courses to a specific problem. Examples of important skills are the use of technical and scientific sources of information, modern simulation tools and modern laboratory equipment. Important skills are also ability to plan, manage and report the results from the project in written form.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Basic knowledge in the choosen area.

Organisation:
The projec is run as traditional project including tutorials and seminars.
|
|
Course contents:
Student groups are formed together with the examiner and a suitable problem is choosen. The project work starts with a literature review and continues with problem soving in the form of calculations and experiments. The findings are reported in written form and presented at a seminar.
