Aim:
The aim of the course is to present an overview of the industrial enterprise as an introduction to the Master programme in Manufacturing Management.

Course contents:
NDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT: The role of the industrial firm in society.
MICROECONOMICS: Basic relationships among producers, consumers and goods. Basic production theory.
PROCESSES IN INDUSTRIAL FIRMS: Product development process. Goods manufacturing process. Customer order process.
MANUFACTURING RE-ENGINEERING STRATEGIES: Lean manufacturing, total quality management, just-in-time, time-based management and other approaches.
