Aim:
The aim of the course is fundamental knowledge in modern instrumental chemical analytical techniques, especially chromatographic and spectrometric methods.

General chemistry, Physical chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Organic chemistry

Lectures and laboratory experiments.

Course contents:
Principles for and theory in chromatographic separation methods. Gas chromatography (GC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Mass spectrometry (MS) and GC-MS. Atomic spectrometry: atomic emission and atomic absorption spectrometry. Molecular spectrometry: UV-spectrophotometry and IR- and MR-spectroscopy.
