Aim:
The aim of the course is to provide the participants with knowledge in applied optimization, that is, the process of using optimization theories and methodologies for defining, modeling, solving, and analyzing engineering problems in communication systems. After the course, the participants shall be able to
- describe classical optimization problems in the area of transport of communications
- study and analyze problems in the area of transport of communications from an optimization perspective
- develop problem-specific methods to exploit problem structure
- implement optimization models and methods using computer programs.
