Aim:
Give knowledge and practical experience in design of digital communication electronics.

Organisation:
Lectures, labs and project work. The course will last for two periods. The first period: lectures and labs. The second period: project work.

Course contents:
Digital design on system and algorithm level. VHDL digital circuit design. Arithmetic circuits. Digital filters. Fast Fourier Transform. Error detection and correction. Cryptography algorithms. Project work with VHDL design and FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) implementation.
