Aim:
The course aim is to give a foundation in simple vector- and matrix calculus. After completion of the course, the student should be able to, - make simple vector- and matrix calcuations.
- solve simple linear systems of equations.
- use and interpret scalar product with vectors in two and three dimensions.
- determine equations for lines and planes and use these equations to solve problems.

The course is given in the form of lectures, where some of the course content is discussed,and tutorials.

Course contents:
Linear systems of equations. Matrix calculus. Vector algebra and vector geometry in two and three dimensions. Vectors and coordinates. ON-base. Scalar procuct. Equations for lines and planes. Intersections between lines and between lines and planes. Calsulation of distances.
