Aim:
To acquire a basic knowledge about ethical theories and principles. To obtain an overview over and recognize ethical questions and problems. To get the ability of applying ethical analysis methods on problems, especially those related to technical development. Reflect on engineer's ethical responsibility.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)

- To work with ethical problems: methodical aspects, decision theory - Normative ethical theories and principles - Technical development and moral responsibility - Computer ethical problems - Ethical criteria for technical choices - Engineers profesional ethics

A paper written individually or in a group of two. Presence at all seminars is obligatory in order to pass. The course grading will be pass or fail.
