Aim:
Through a project work should reflect and confirm biomedical engineering processes, products and organization similar to real industrial and professional thinking. This is fulfilled through a the project and after passing the course the student should be able to:
- Identify biomedical needs and suggest solutions or actions.
- Analyze and structure problems with respect to prior knowledge.
- Create and implement new knowledge within the biomedical engineering domain based on synthesis from other engineering core domains.
- Demonstrate biomedical engineering solutions to well-defined needs or problems.
- Develop power of initiative and demonstrate creative solutions.
- Actively participate and well functioning in at least one project group.
- Present results both written and orally within a given time period and budget.

Signal theory. Anatomy and physiology. Biomedical signal processing

Organisation:
Cap-stone project course. The course is scheduled over the entire spring semester. A tutor and resources (hardware, software and staff) is allocated at the beginning of the project.
