| Aim: The aim of the course is to give advanced knowledge in modern organic synthesis:

| Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered) Approved Organic Synthesis Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding. |

| Organisation: The education includes lectures and seminars. |

| Course contents: The course consists of advanced methods in organig synthesis including protecting groups, transformations of functional groups and formation of carbon-carbon bonds. The advanced knowledge will be applied on total synthesis from recent publications in organic chemistry journals. |
