Aim:
The course presents the basics of unit operations of chemical engineering and gives understanding of the driving forces in different cases. Further, the course will give knowledge in calculation methods for dimensioning and designing of apparatures.

Lectures, turtorials and laboratory work

Course contents:
Introduction to unit operations. Unit operations: Stirring, Filtration, Sedimentation, Centrifugation, Fluidisation and evaporation. Gas mixtures. A laboratory course for the practical study of unit operations will run in parallell with the theoretical part of the course.
