Aim:
The student should acquire knowledge on how companies can organise their environmental work. It is crucial to understand how environmental problems are transformed into environmental demands on companies from, for instance, their customers, authorities and owners. The students shall get an insight into the design and function of environmental management systems. The links between environmental management and marketing strategies are essential parts of the course.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
No special requirements, but general knowledge concerning industry and environmental issues is advantageous.
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Subjects included are: environmental work in enterprises, driving forces and organisation. Environmental policy, strategies and certification. Environmental communication. Environmental law, economic control mechanisms and environmental economics.
