Aim:
In the course Basic Logistics, focus was on logistics within a single company. In this course focus is moved to an entire Supply Chain, a processing chain from raw material to end customer. The aim of the course is to give enhanced theoretical knowledge, principally on strategic level, within Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The course will also train the students' capacity for seeing coherency in a complicated reality of product and material flows. Understanding of the importance of information systems is given, as well as understanding of how logistics cooperates with other areas within and outside the company.
