Aim:
The goal of the course is to give the students a good understanding of how a business can be described, analysed and changed in a process perspective. The students will also get examples of how information systems can be used in the change process as well as an enabler for improving business performance.

Organisation:
The course is based on lectures, seminars, it consists of one project-work that is done in student groups. Seminars are compulsory moments.

Course contents:
The Course consists of five parts (of which the dominant is the project work �?" 1b):
1. Methods for description and analysis
1a. Method workshop
A change method is described. Pros and cons are discussed, as well as how different parts of the method are related.
1b. Project work
Teamwork were the method is used on a real case in industry.
1c. Computer lab: IT support for business process design
2. Change management
2a. Lectures
The lectures discus management and IT support aspects on improvement efforts, with focus on process management.
2b. Literature seminar
Scientific papers on human aspects in change processes are analysed and compared.
