Aim:
The course aims to give basic knowledge within pharmacology.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Accepted to the educational program of chemistry with participation of NKEC52 Biochemistry, 10p

Organisation:
The course theory exist of lectures as well as pharmacological problems according the basics for problem based learning. Laboratory projects include in vitro experiments as well as computer simulations
|

Course contents:
Theory: General pharmacology, receptor theory and respiratory and pharmacokinetics, pharmacology of the nervous system, cardiovascular pharmacology as well as anti-microbial and analgetic drugs. Laboratory projects include receptorcharacterization and receptorradioligand binding, pharmacology of the blood, bloodpressure control. Relevant parts of physiology and cellbiology are integrated in educational moments.
