Aim:
The course gives fundamental knowledge and understanding of the factors that affects the configuration and dimensioning of an airplane.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Solid Mechanics, Engineering Materials, Machine Elements, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer.

The teaching consists of lectures, lessons, computational exercises and educational study visits.

- Different aircraft configurations and why they look the way they do
