| Course contents: Models for speech communication. The human speech apparatus (anatomy and physiology). Speech production and perception. Acoustic phenomena. Language sounds: phonetics and phonology. Techniques for speech synthesis (articulatory techniques, LPS). Techniques for speech recognition (rule based, stochastic, DTW-techniques). Architectures for speech understanding systems and dialogue systems. |
