Aim:
The aim of the course is to give basic knowledge in Pharmacology.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Participation in Biochemistry NKEC52.

The course consists of lectures, laborations and seminars

Course contents:
The theoretical part consists of general pharmacology, receptor theory, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology of the nervous system, cardiovascular pharmacology, pharmacology of the airways, kidney pharmacology, gastrointestinal pharmacology, hormones, anaestetic agents, analgetic drugs and antibiotics. The laborations consist of computor simulations in pharmacokinetics, receptor charaterisation, pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system and muscle pharmacology, and experiments on isolated tissue. The sections of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology which are neccesary for understanding Pharmacology are integrated in the course.
