Aim:
The aim of this course is to give the student a good knowledge about structures and properties of polymer-based materials. After the course the student shall be able to:
- understand the structures, and thereby properties, of polymer and composite materials.
- choose suitable material based on requirements regarding process and properties.
- choose suitable manufacturing process based on production volumes, dimensions, etc.
- design with polymer and composite materials.
|
|
Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Basic knowledge regarding solid mechanics.
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.
