To understand the issues involved, methods and structuring mechanisms for design and implementation of realtime systems.

The theory is presented on the lectures. Seminars practice the presented material and prepare for the laboratory assignments.

Part I:
Executives and operating systems for real time systems. Resource management. Introduction to real-time scheduling. Design of real-time systems.
Part II:
Fault-tolerance and exception handling for real-time systems.
Real-time scheduling in presence of resource constraints.
